En las paraolimpiadas: Competición de natación. Todos los países habían mandado unos representantes. Había nadadores que no tenían un brazo, una pierna, le faltaban dedos, las dos manos, etc. Toda la prensa internacional le estaba poniendo mucha atención al atleta salvadoreño, por que a consecuencia de la guerra, había perdido las dos piernas y los dos brazos. Todos se preguntaban como es que este tío iba a nadar. El entrenador explicó que en el momento de comenzar la competición, el empujaría al muchacho a la piscina, y después el nadaría por si solo. Llego el momento. Hacen la cuenta. Suena el disparo... y comienzan. Todos los participantes están nadando. Y cuando se aclara el agua se ve que el salvadoreño esta en el fondo de la piscina... todo el mundo esta aflijido... los reporteros se apresuran para tomar fotos. Ordenan que alguien se meta a rescatar al joven deportista... Al salir, todas las cámaras y micrófonos son para el. Le preguntan... "Que paso, por que no pudo nadar?" a lo que el contesta: "Todo un año entrenando para este día, y me tiene que dar un calambre en las orejas".
